Ranking
Until 2009 the Australian Federal Government had a ranking and a Commonwealth Goverment Learning and Teaching Performance Funding program. UTS was top ranked with Business, Law and Economics being placed in Band A1 and winning substantial funding. Recent graduates were asked to report on the attainment of Generic Skills, experiences of Good Teaching, their Overall Satisfaction, and if they are in Full-Time Employment or Further Full-Time Study. Other indicators used to determine the rankings were retention and progression rates.UTS Business, Law and Economics also took out the Number 1 place for graduate employment rates (amongst all Sydney based universities) and we were at the top for good teaching and overall graduate satisfaction amongst ATN universities.
Although these ranking no longer exist this was recognition of the great quality of UTS teachers, program staff and support structures.
