Maximum credit allowed and how to apply
The maximum amount of credit allowed in recognition of prior learning is two thirds of the total course credit point requirement for a course where the total course credit point requirements are equal to or less than 144 credit points (eg. Bachelor of Business 144cps - max. 96cp allowed for RPL). Where the total course credit point requirements are greater than 144 credit points, three quarters of the total course credit point may be approved (eg. Bachelor of Arts in Human Movement Studies Graduate Diploma in Education 192cp - max. 144cp allowed for RPL) .
To have a major or sub-major noted on a student’s final transcript, a student must have completed at least 75% of the subjects in that major or sub-major at UTS: Business, under any approved undergraduate course.
Please note: RPL does not guarantee or imply an applicant will obtain a place within a course at UTS. RPL simply indicates what exemptions may apply if an applicant is successful in obtaining a place by meeting the relevant selection criteria for a course.
