How to Apply

Based on Articulated Agreement with Educational Institutions

  1. You must read the UTS rules, policies and any requirements as indicated on specific educational institution listed on this website prior to lodging your application.
  2. Complete the Application for Credit Recognition (PDF, 29kb, 2 pages). Fill in your full name and UTS course details, followed by the subjects you are applying for, based on the articulation agreement and under the ‘subject completed’ section, input the name of your completed course (example Diploma or Advanced Diploma). Please ensure you also sign and date the application form.
  3. Attach your certified official academic transcripts (NOT a Result Notice) of all years. Additionally, attach your certificate of completion (only applicable to Diploma or Advanced Diploma Level).
  4. Lodge the application form and documentation to the Student Centre Haymarket or Student Centre Kuring-gai prior to your enrolment or you can provide these documents at your enrolment session. Incomplete applications will NOT be processed and you may not be able to enrol in your subjects.

Based on Previous University Studies

  1. You must read the UTS rules, policies and any requirements as indicated on specific Educational Institution listed on this website prior to lodging your application.
  2. It is strongly recommended that all students first compare the subject outline from your prior study with the subject descriptions in UTS Handbook. Please note, you can only use a subject you have previously studied once and not for multiple Credit Recognition.
  3. Complete the Application for Credit Recognition (PDF, 29kb, 2 pages). Fill in your full name and UTS course details and fill in the information regarding which subjects you will be applying for, then input the information on which subjects you have studied previously and the relevant year. Please ensure you also sign and date the application form.
  4. Attach a certified copy of your official academic transcript (NOT a Result Notice) of all years including grading system for each subject listed and used towards exemption. Conceded passes and previously attempted subjects in the same award are not accepted for Credit Recognition.
  5. Attach certified copies of official subject outlines for each subject listed to be used towards Credit Recognition. Subject outlines must include details of the topics covered, hours of class time, type of assessment and textbooks used. A paragraph from an institution’s Calendar/Handbook is not sufficient. Subject outlines must reflect and should correspond with the year of study, as shown on your official transcripts (ie. must be for the same year that student studied the subject). Decisions made by the Business School are final and there is no appeal process.
  6. Lodge the application form and documentation to the Student Centre Haymarket or the UTS: International Office (if you are an International Student) eight (8) weeks prior to your enrolment session. Incomplete applications will NOT be processed, instead they will be returned to you by post.
