Seminars and conferences
Research seminars and conferences are run to give students and research staff an opportunity to develop their research and engage in discussions in an academic environment.
The University Graduate School research development program develops students skills and participation in a cross-disciplinary research learning community.
Individual Discipline Groups and Research centres also conduct research seminars and activities for research students and the wider research community. Enquiries should be directed to the relevant Discipline Groups and Research centres.

Writing Group Workshops
A seminar for Higher Degree Research students and Early Career Researchers
This is a writing group for research students and early career researchers. The group meets every three weeks, normally at lunchtime. Professor Jenny Edwards is the moderator. At each meeting, there will also be an experienced academic from one of the Schools/Research Centres in the Faculty. This academic will lead a brief discussion of issues in writing and publishing in their field. Then there will be a discussion by all on sample pieces of writing submitted by the participants.
