Rosalie Degabriele has been working in the investment banking and corporate finance area for the last 20 years both domestically and overseas. Her working experience during this time has included over a decade in the industry as well as a decade on the academic arena. Whilst in industry Rosalie performed a variety of tasks that included credit analysis, loan structuring, loan syndications, money market dealing, project finance and leveraged leasing, capital market product originations, strategic bank management, and corporate treasury management and various consulting positions. Rosalie has worked in the UK and held consulting roles in Africa as well as locally for a number of institutions including Reserve Bank of Australia, Citibank, Chase, ANZ, Delfin and Westfield Holdings Ltd. as well as consulting roles with various groups including the Commonwealth Bank, various Indonesian Banks, NSW Association of Credit Unions, State Bank of NSW, Westpac.
Rosalie is an active member of the following professional associations: Fellow of the Finance and Treasury Association, a Senior Member of the Australian Institute of Banking and Finance, the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Australian Society of Accountants.
In the academic sphere Rosalie has been working in the area of Finance and Banking at the University of New South Wales for over ten years. Rosalie has specialised in areas such as capital markets, loan policy, credit analysis, liquidity management and financial intermediation in particular the funding process for corporations and the role of banks and debt markets in this process and credit risk management and structured finance. Rosalie is noted for her excellence in teaching and was twice nominated for the prestigious Vice Chancellor's Teaching Excellence Award at the University of New South Wales. Rosalie�s students have enjoyed particular success in the UTS Business Planning Competition. Rosalie is studying for a doctorate in the area of corporate governance with respect to debt stakeholders.
