About
The Management Discipline Group is the largest of the five discipline groups within UTS Business School. Our programs and classes are taught both at the City and Kuring-gai Campuses.
We teach a range of undergraduate, postgraduate and research subjects, as well as offering majors and sub-majors that contribute to the Bachelor of Business and Master of Business Administration (MBA). We also offer a number of specialist Bachelor and Masters’ degrees in Events and Leisure, Tourism, Management, Human Resources, and Operations and Supply Chain Management.
Our range of Management Discipline Group subjects and courses develop students' abilities to operate effectively across the entire spectrum of challenges that managers and leaders face. Our students learn to understand themselves and their own capabilities, how individuals and groups behave in work settings, how and why organisations form, how to effectively change organisations, and to develop organisations to perform at their best.
Our specialist management courses develop individuals for careers as Human Resource Managers and Operations and Supply Chain Managers, focusing on specialised development in areas such as International Management and Business, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Ethics, Sustainability and Corporate Governance, Management Consulting, and Corporate Strategy.
We recognise that non-work time is a serious business in itself. Our Events, Leisure, Sport, Tourism and Arts students develop into professionals with the skills to plan, manage and provide services across a range of activities that Australians and visitors to Australia undertake in their free time.
Students who choose a managment degree are able to choose from a range of options to customise their degree to meet their individual needs and enhance their employability.
Individuals who wish to further their careers in community and not-for-profit management will benefit from studying a Master’s for MBA degree specially tailored for the third sector.
The Management Discipline Group is home to four research centres and offers short courses in Event Management.
We are an innovative, dynamic and industry focused academic unit. Our continued success is attributable to the quality of our staff, teaching and industry based programs, and importantly our students.
