Students from the School of Leisure, Sport and Tourism are available to assist your organisation with appropriate research.
In turn, the research projects enable our students to develop skills in problem definition, data collection and analysis, and report writing.
We have a number of students who can offer research assistance to your organisation:
- final year students in the Bachelor of Management in Tourism - read more
- postgraduate students undertaking the Master of Management in Sport, Leisure, Tourism, or Arts Management - read more
Please note: all research projects are undertaken under the supervision of a member of UTS academic staff and must adhere to UTS Research Ethics Guidelines.
Your Role as a Client
Depending on the type of project undertaken, your role as a client involves:
- establishing the research objectives and methodology, in conjunction with the University supervisor.
- support in terms of providing work space, if required.
- providing in-kind of financial support for certain aspects of the project, such as the printing of questionnaires or extraordinary travelling costs.
- ongong feedback and direction for the student ethics.
Students will negotiate all aspects of the project directly with you. Their academic supervisor's role is to manage the scope of the project, provide the necessary academic input and advice, and ensure the integrity of the students' research tasks.
