The Economics Discipline Group is one of five discipline-based teaching and research groups within the UTS Business School. Economics at UTS offers courses in economics at the undergraduate, honours, masters and Ph.D. level.
UTS economics is recognised for outstanding research. In the 2012 Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) evaluation undertaken by the Australian Research Council, UTS was the only university in NSW, and one of only 4 in Australia, to be awarded the top rating of 5 out of 5 – well above world standard - in the overall field of Economics. In the field of Applied Economics UTS was the only university in Australia awarded the top rating of 5 out of 5 and was one of only 4 universities receiving the top rating for Econometrics. More
