The Office of Co-operative Education

The Bachelor of Accounting program is administered by the dedicated staff of the Office of Co-operative Education, within the School of Accounting at UTS.

 Arie Sietsma

Director, External Relations

Director of Co-operative Education from 1989 to 2001, Arie is the "father" of the Bachelor of Accounting program. An acknowledged authority on co-operative education, Arie has presented many papers in this area at local and overseas conferences. He has also a special interest in strategic management accounting.


Rodney Brown
BCom University of Newcastle, 1997;  MBA Deakin University, 2008;  Graduate Diploma (App fin) FINSIA, 2009; CA, FFin

Rodney is the Director of the Bachelor of Accounting program and manages the Office of Co-operative Education.

Carin Alberts
BA University of Johannesburg 1990; MBA University of Technology, Sydney 2007; MFin University of Technology, Sydney 2009

Carin handles the day-to-day administration of BAcc, and is the first point of contact for BAcc students, sponsors and staff.
