We aim to have students in the course from all areas and all backgrounds. This includes applicants who currently live in country areas, regional centres, and states other than NSW.

With a view to encouraging students in these areas to apply, and consider the move to Sydney, please note that:

1. We have had many applicants from outside of Sydney who have gone on to enjoy great success in the course and in subsequent careers in business.
2. Special features of this course make the transition to big city life much easier. 
3. A Relocation Allowance is payable to any student who has to move home to join the course in Sydney
4. The UTS City campus, where the Bachelor of Accounting course is offered, is Sydney's most centrally-located university. Sydney's major train, bus and ferry hub is only a few minutes walk away, and most of our sponsor organisations are also nearby in the adjacent CBD.
5. Help is available in finding and securing accommodation in Sydney. The UTS Housing Service has student units within a few minutes walk of the City campus.
6. With the help of the scholarship, which all Bachelor of Accounting students receive, living and studying in Sydney becomes more affordable.
7. We don't apply a stringent ATAR cut-off like other highly sought-after university courses. Our only academic selection criterion is an ATAR of 95 (which is desirable but not essential). We realise that this is still a high standard to set. But we are also looking for other important qualities in applicants - leadership potential, team-working skills, general enthusiasm and dedication to a range of interests. These qualities are found in young men and women in high schools everywhere.
