Executive Certificate in Event Management

The main focus of the Centre is on the development and delivery of education programs, including the first certified event management course in an Australian University which was launched in 1996 and continues today. The Executive Certificate in Event Management is designed to update the knowledge and skills of event managers in the field, as well as to provide an overview of current best practice in event management for intending new entrants to the industry.  The course is taught by Australian Centre for Event Management staff, with the assistance of guest presentations by leading industry professionals. The course has now been delivered in intensive mode to over 1 000 students in Australia and has recently expanded to overseas markets, including Malaysia, New Zealand and Scotland.

Training

ACEM conducts a range of specialist training programs for the events industry. These programs cover all aspects of the event management, including event creation, marketing, operations and evaluation. Training can be tailored to meet the specific needs of clients, and can be delivered in-house if desired.  Recent clients include:

Research

ACEM conducts research projects in partnership with industry organisations with a view to contributing to the overall body of knowledge associated with the conduct, management, impact and evaluation of events. Research programs have been conducted in areas such as event evaluation, customer satisfaction and community engagement. Recent clients include –
