About us
The Australian Centre for Event Management (ACEM) was established in 1999 to further develop and support the work of the University of Technology, Sydney in event management education, training and research. ACEM forms part of the School of Leisure Sport and Tourism in the Faculty of Business.
ACEM’s mission is to further enhance Australia as a centre of excellence in the development of skills and knowledge associated with the creation, delivery and evaluation of corporate, public and private events.
In doing so, ACEM seeks to contribute to the cultural life and economic well being of the community through promoting best practice in event management.
ACEM offers a range of high quality, innovative products and services including the delivery of short courses; executive programs; an annual seminar series; and a biannual research conference and education symposium.
Since its establishment, ACEM has become a world leader in the field of event management education, delivering training programs both within Australia and internationally (London, Beijing, Edinburgh, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Kuching, Macau, Bay of Plenty).
