ACEM Event Industry Networking Function - 25 November, 2008    

The ACEM Event Industry Networking Function was held at the Museum of Contemporary Art. The theme was around linking sustainability and events. Kerri Ainsworth and ACEM created unique artworks using recycled materials to highlight the theme. The room was buzzing with new connections being made, people exchanging ideas and discussing what's possible for events in the future.  In attendance were senior staff from government agencies, major Sydney venues, industry associations, leading event production companies, academics and post graduate students. 

Prof. Stuart White (Director, Institute for Sustainable Futures, UTS) provided a succinct overview of the issues of climate change and provided a valuable introduction to the 2009 conference.

ACEM would like to acknowledge the significant contribution of Kerri Ainsworth (The Designing Woman), Sydney Prop Specialists, CCEntertainment, Jazz Nouveau and to those who created their own recycled masterpieces.
