Journal of Contemporary Accounting and Economics (JCAE) Mid-Year Symposium

Jointly organised by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the University of Technology, Sydney, this JCAE Mid-Year Symposium will be held at University of Technology, Sydney, Australia.  This symposium provides a platform for accounting, economics and corporate governance academics especially from Australia, New Zealand and Asia to present cutting-edge research findings.

Program

The one-day symposium comprises a Keynote Address and a number of Plenary Paper Sessions. Papers accepted will be considered to be published in the JCAE subject to editorial approval.

Keynote Speaker

Professor Katherine Schipper is the Thomas F. Keller Professor of Business Administration and Professor of Law at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. Prior to joining Duke University, she was a member of the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB). She has also been a faculty member at Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Chicago.

UTS Business School, Haymarket Campus, is located at the southern fringe of Sydney's central business district, adjacent to the Darling Harbour tourist precinct. About Journal of Contemporary Accounting and Economics (JCAE)

The Journal is dedicated to publishing high quality manuscripts that rigorously apply economics and legal theory to accounting/auditing with an emphasis on empirical research. While there is a special focus on issues relevant to the Asia-Pacific region, the Journal also encourages submissions from countries outside the Asia-Pacific region in the following major areas as related to accounting and auditing issues: financial contracts, corporate governance, capital markets, financial institutions and economics of organisations.
