Faculty and PhD students are invited to attend the UTS 2004 REA Research Seminar. The seminar will be presented by Professor William E. McCarthy (Michigan State University). The focus of the seminar will be "design science" and "REA modeling".

Professor McCarthy is one of the world's foremost researchers in the design of accounting information systems using the REA ontology and has published extensively in top research journals, such as The Accounting Review. Professor McCarthy is also an active participant in the international standard-setting process for e-commerce collaboration.

Subject to the level of interest, one session may be devoted to the discussion of research ideas or papers by seminar attendees. Please contact Amanda Wong if you would like to discuss your research in this session.

Since all seminar costs are borne by the School of Accounting, numbers are limited. Those wishing to attend should register their interest by filling in this form.
