Testimonials from SAP Students

This is what alumni/students say...

“I now work for SAP Australia ... primarily work with SAP BW. ... The ‘Accounting and ERP’ subject was extremely valuable for me in understanding an aspect of our products that I would not normally have experienced: I learned so much in the group project. I would recommend the ‘Accounting for ERP’ course to anyone as a great introduction to SAP – you certainly get your hands dirty on how to use SAP.”

Student, MBA, 1 SAP-related subject in 2006

“After my international exchange year in Sydney I returned to Germany to finish my degree. I needed to do an additional 6 months internship and I spend 6 months writing my final thesis to finish. Both, internship and thesis, I did at the SAP Headquarter in Walldorf. After that, I decided to switch from SAP Standard Development to Consulting. Since November 2004, I am a SAP fulltime employee working as Technology and Development Consultant.”

Nina Majic, exchange student, 3 SAP-related subjects in 2002

“After studying SAP related subjects at UTS, I got a job as an IT manager at an automotive manufacturing company in the MAHLE group. SAP knowledge gave me a great advantage for working with this company as they planned to implement SAP... Moreover I got a part time job as an computer article writer in Thailand... SAP subjects at UTS were an inspiration for me to learn more beyond ERP and publish … in a computer magazine. This knowledge also helped me for a BPR (Business process Re-engineering) project prior to implementing SAP in the same company.”

Student, Master of Business in E-Business, 5 SAP-related subjects in 2003–2004

“Just after I finished my MBA at UTS (2001) I started to work with SAP as a BW consultant in a small company in Brazil... I worked for that company for 2 years in which I developed projects with many multinational companies such Holcin and Monsanto. After I left this company, I started to work as a third party for Arcelor, which became Mittal Steel nowadays, where I stayed for 2 years developing projects with SAP SEM. Since 2005, I have been working for an international consulting company called Bearing Point, developing projects for big companies such as Camargo Correa and Gerdau...

I am so grateful to UTS which provided me with so important incitation in this interesting field of knowledge, which has made my life much better since then. Thank you all.”

Leticia de Castro Peixoto, MBA, 4 SAP-related subjects in 2000–2001

“My primary reason in joining UTS was simply the SAP related subjects. After completing subject 22797 BI 1, I also took the optional bridging course and was able to pass the SAP BW 3.5 certification exam. From this point I decided that I wanted a career in BI. Although my current job is not exactly SAP BW, I work with a BI package that seamlessly integrates with SAP BW so my knowledge of SAP BW was definitely an advantage for me.”

Student, Master of Business in E-Business, 4 SAP-related subjects in 2006–2007

“I would like to thank you for the opportunity for me to get into the world of SAP … I currently work for SAP Australia as Senior Support Consultant in Financials. I am planning to stay with SAP/in an SAP related position as the knowledge I have learned in the ERP course at UTS and the experience I have gained during my three years service at SAP are creating a competitive advantage in the market place. I wish all the best and further growth/development for the ERP/AIS programs at UTS.”

Student, Master of Business in Accounting, 2 SAP-related subjects in 2000–2001

“I have been working at Nestle for 10 months as a CO Configuration specialist. My background is predominately in financial accounting and not in cost accounting. I found the UTS courses I had taken assisted me having the confidence in seeking and acquiring a job in SAP. The knowledge gained from my courses have helped me in understanding the SAP costing processes (which is not straight forward) and has allowed me to be successful in my current position. I hope to use this as a stepping stone to other opportunities.”

Student, Non-Award, 4 SAP-related subjects in 2005–2006

“The course helped me bridge the gap between our old SAP R/2 system and the new R/3 system. It helped me move from my previous job to the current company that is using SAP R/3 4.6C. The course helped building up technical knowledge and understand the similarity and differences between different versions of SAP and explain my competencies/weakness to the agencies and interviewers.”

Current student, MBA, 5 SAP-related subjects and SAP BW Bridging Course/Certification

“I got back to Malaysia right after completing my MBA at UTS. I then started working with SAP Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. as a Support Consultant in the FI module. My main focus was on AP/AR/GL/AM. My role was to support clients in the South Asia region... I worked with SAP Malaysia for slightly more than a year, and I am currently working with Accenture. I started off as a BW Consultant with Shell, and am now slowly moving towards business consulting.”
