Education in Enterprise-Systems

Educational Objectives

  • Provide students with knowledge of quantitative methods in business and skills in integrated business information systems (Enterprise Systems - ES) and e-business, and with knowledge on the impact of information systems, in particular ES, on organisations.
  • Provide students with knowledge of and skills in SAP solutions.

General Educational Focus

  • Benefits of integration of business processes and integration of data.
  • Business planning, analysis and operations control with ES.
  • Business analysis with data warehouses and OLAP tools.

Software Focus

  • SAP Solutions for Financial Management, Logistics and SCM.
  • SAP Netweaver components and Business Intelligence.

 

Study Options and Target Groups

ES/SAP Award Courses

ES/SAP Award Courses are intended for postgraduate students with a background in business and/or IT/IS working or intending to work in companies using or intending to implement enterprise-systems (including e-business systems), and ES-consultants intending to expand their knowledge.

These award courses prepare students for roles including management positions or functional (team) leaders directly involved in the management of ES or directly 'affected' by ES.

Study options:

ES/SAP Non-award Courses

ES/SAP Non-award Courses are designed for people who are interested in learning about SAP solutions without enrolling in a university course.

These non-award courses are intended for people with a business and/or IT/IS background (e.g. accountants) working or intending to work in companies using or intending to implement enterprise-systems (including e-business systems).

These non-award courses prepare students for roles including management positions, or functional team leaders and IT/IS consultants.

The main differences between the options for non-award courses are the entry requirements, fees and delivery mode.
