The Graduate Conversion Course in Accounting (GCCA) is a UTS Continuing Professional Education Short course administered by the School of Accounting. It is a non-award bridging course and does not lead to a degree or diploma. The course equips people to continue a career in or make a career change to Accounting. This is done by providing subjects required to meet some of the Australian accounting professional bodies Core Curricula/Knowledge areas. The subjects deal with accounting, auditing, finance and law. The GCCA is designed to allow flexibility in subject selection. As how many of the subjects to do of those available in the GCCA is left to those wanting to enrol in the GCCA.
The GCCA offers subjects to meet some of the Core Curricula/Knowledge Areas required to apply for membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA), CPA Australia (CPAA) and the National Institute of Accountants (NIA).
The Graduate Conversion Course in Accounting is only available to students with permanent residency or Australian Citizenship. Students on international student visas are NOT eligible for this course.
